Grady ISD is proud to offer the opportunity for students that do not live in the district to apply for an inter-district transfer. Since we feel that keeping our class sizes small is beneficial to students and teachers alike, transfer students are accepted on a space-available basis only. However, students interested in becoming part of our Grady Family are always encouraged to submit an application or contact us for more information.

In order to be considered as a potential transfer, one complete application must be turned in for each applying student. An application is considered “complete” when it includes all of the following:

Current School Records

School Records from the student’s current school district. Records should include grades, attendance, Standardized Testing Scores (such as STAAR results) and any special program information (if applicable). Grady will not request records from another district before enrollment so records used for the application process must be provided by the applicants.

Immunization Records

Immunization Records must be provided and the student(s) must be up to date on all immunizations required by the Texas Department of State Health Services. More information on Immunization Requirements can be found here.

Proof of Identity

Proof of identity for each applicant (birth certificate, hospital certificate, or passport).

Once you have completed your application, you may submit it either by email, mail, or by fax.

Once we have received the above information, we will review the application. Applicants may be asked to attend an informal interview with the admissions committee before being notified of their acceptance status.
