Grady ISD will cancel classes again tomorrow, Friday February 19th due to lack of water on campus. We hope everyone has a safe weekend. Classes will resume as normal on Monday!
The Lady Cats will play their Area basketball game today at 4:00 pm at Lubbock Roosevelt. Ticket prices at $5 for adults and $3 for students, no voucher needed. Let’s go Lady Cats! Beat Lorenzo!
We would like to release some information on the Area basketball game as well. PLAN A for the game is playing at Lubbock Roosevelt tomorrow (Thursday) at 4:00 pm. IF Roosevelt experiences the energy conservation and water issues we are currently experiencing, the game will be moved to Wellman-Union. IF Wellman-Union does not have class tomorrow, the game will be played at 4:00 pm. If they do have school, it will be at 6:00 pm. I know that this is a tremendous amount of IFs, but a final decision on game site and time will be released no later than noon tomorrow. Thanks for understanding!
Although road conditions continue to improve, our main concern at Grady ISD currently is the continuous energy conservation that is causing scheduled blackouts. The campus of Grady is currently experiencing electricity going in and out like much of our area. On top of no electricity, the water on campus is currently out as well. We feel that it is in the best interest of our students and staff to cancel school again for Thursday, February 18th. We hope that all of our families are staying safe and warm. We released information yesterday on numbers to contact if you are in need of help. We have resources to meet those needs, so please feel free to contact any of those numbers.
Due to inclement weather and concern of rolling power outages, Grady ISD will not have school tomorrow (Wednesday, February 17th). Details on the Area basketball game have not been finalized, but will be released as soon as they become available. If you are in need of help during this time (food, water, blankets, etc) please feel free to contact any of the numbers below. We will happily do our best to try and accommodate. We hope all of our families are safe and warm during this time.
